LOVE/SICK
June 20–23, 2024
Vergennes Opera House
Love/Sick is acclaimed playwright John Cariani's poignant and witty look at life, love, and miscommunications. In nine slightly twisted yet totally hilarious scenes, all set on a Friday night in a suburban alternate reality, Cariani explores the highs and lows of love and relationships, ranging from insane infatuation to bittersweet endings. Full of imperfect lovers and dreamers, Love/Sick is an unromantic comedy for the romantic in everyone.
Directors Kevin Commins, Kristen Ginsburg, and Kush Sharma brought their own distinct vision to three scenes each. They amassed a cast of 16 talented actors to portray Love/Sick’s quirky and lovable characters, including Ethan DeWitt, Michael Eaton, Adam Gould, David Harcourt, Diana Hill, Phin Holzhammer, Benjamin Houchen, Walter Hutton, Tanya Lehman, Tom McElhaney, Leila McVeigh, Matti Nichols, Beatrice Scott, Jillian Torres, Phoebe Vaughan, and Marinna Wojciechowski. The show was staged managed by Dora Greven and produced by Jon Fenner.
